We have completed our LSF 9.0 U/G on our test system ( with the help of Paradigm ) ... :o
Before we start beating on our test system, :whip: , we want to get a full and complete backup. The person who knew how to get the complete 8.0.x version backup left unexpectedly, an forgot to write up the procedures :bonk:
So, does anyone have an instruction set, or kb article, regarding the correct procedure for shutting down all the lawson, and ancillary services on the server to get a backup??
thanks,
B
:banghead:
OK, I'll answer my own post.
We found an article on community.lawson.com regarding DR and backup to used that as a baseline.
Can you point me toward that article? We are in the middle :tyson:
of converting from 7.2 to 9.0 and new to Unix - and we want to do some "check point" backups. Sounds like this KB might get us going in the right direction.
And, a little off topic.... How was your experience w/ Paradigm? (They are helping us too.)
sorry, I've just checked this forum for the first time in months.
the article is in the forum area. Search for BACKUP
and, Paradigm is doing a good job. They seem to be the goto guys for this migration.
