I keep getting an error "Must inquire before using this function code" when trying to use add-ins on the AP52 and AP59 form. :bonk:

I have tried altering my import sheet, and tried several HK combination… but still no work’ie… Please help :nix:

(tech stuff: AS400/iSeries platform, Lawson 8.0.1 version) :cof:

Here is a sample upload to PA52 to change employees rate of pay using a defined action that I've used and I see that the first record on the first upload attempt received the same error you have.

I fixed it for all the records using tips in a power point presentation from lawson.

It works now. I assume you can use it for the AP module. You'll have to tweak the field headins to match the ap screen you're uploading to.

Let me know if it helps...

Thanks,

I didn't look at every column in your data spreadsheet, but the value you have for the f59-HK caught my eye. It appears to be a formula ('=e+f+0+i+0000) but because of the single quotation mark in front of it, it doesn't actually combine those columns. The value you're probably needing in that column for that one row is "1000000000321019 tardiness from March-July0000" and not the text-readable formula itself.

I don't know off the top of my head what the PA59 is so I don't know if you have the right HK values. If they are the right columns to make up the HK value, try concatenating them into that column instead of using the formula.

Change the formula in column AE (the HK field) to this:

=CONCATENATE(E3,F3,G3,H3)

Also, I believe the Type field (f8) is text, not numeric, so I the value in that field should be "1<space>" instead of "01".

Has anyone done this for 9.0 yet? I had an upload set up that worked with 8.0.3, but it's not working with 9.0. I'm getting an error message "Record does not exist" when I try to Add and then "Record does not exist / Pending Action does not exist" when I click "Try to Add then try to Change." Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Marla

Also, here's a good link with a lot of upload info from the guy that created the Add-ins. It's all for 8.0 or 8.1....not updated for 9.0 from what I can tell.
