I heard a rumor :rau: that v7 is being decommissioned 9/30/07, but v8 won't be available until July?? Certainly doesn't give us much time to install and test... but I can't find any actual documentation, either on the BSI website or within any of their e-mail notifications. Can anyone confirm? Article ID 556431 seems to suggest this as well. What's surprising to me is that it looks like version 7 wasn't even GA until Dec of '06 and was required to be in place by 1/1/07. 2-3 weeks later, they are talking abou it's upcoming decommission? The article does provide an email address (Kristin.stolte@lawson.com) to receive updates on the delivery timeline of version 8.

I just posted a new thread to the "News" topic. After that is reviewed, hopefully it will be approved for sharing. I just got off the phone w/ Lawson and yes, TF7 will be "drop-dead" decomissioned on 9/30/07. You'll need to be on TF8 by then. TF8 will require ESP7 or LSF9.0 to be supported.

Also correct is the fact that TF8 is not yet certified for use, so we're going to have a busy summer!

Thanks, Keith - I've also sent a request for details to my BSI contact - your post freaks me even more, though - we're behind in ESPs, and although we're moving to LSF9 as I type, I think I may be ill!! :blink:

Has anyone heard any news on when we can expect the update, besides the mid summer quote on the knowledgebase?

I got an e-mail yesterday from BSI with info that the release is available for download. Haven't gotten into it yet - trying to get live on 9.0 first!

I received one, too - but since Lawson isn't the only BSI customer, I'm wondering if we're still waiting - I'll try e-mailing my BSI contact and will keep you posted
