Application Systems Supervisor/Project Manager

DICKINSON COUNTY HEALTHCARE SYSTEM in Iron Mountain, MI is seeking a highly motivated professional to fill the role of a full-time Application Systems Supervisor and Project Manager for major system implementations.

The candidate will plan, direct and control application systems installations and support. Control and coordinate major projects by participating in the development of detailed implementation project plans and timelines, defining detailed tasks, determining resources necessary to meet milestones and achieving established goals. Also, supervise ongoing support of all installed applications. Experience in a similar role in a healthcare environment is preferred but not required.

As a key member of our IS Team, you will lead application support staff, make hands-on contributions and manage major project implementations. As a project manager, you will manage teams of users and other IS staff working with vendor personnel on all aspects of system testing and implementation.

Qualifications:
The candidate must hold a Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field. Five years supervising large projects with at least 8 years total work experience desired; Responsibility for HIS installation & support preferred; Experience using project management tools (MS Project); Working knowledge of standards and methodologies essential to the management of resources. Must also be able to lead and motivate staff and communicate/collaborate effectively.
