Is there any interest of meeting your fellow LawsonTalkers while you're at CUE?
I was thinking we could all get together for dinner one night someplace. I know a great Steakhouse in SD that's to die for. Let me know if you're interested and I'll arrange everything.

Also open to a round of golf at Torrey Pines :rau: if anyone is interested.

my nights are pretty much filled up, but i say we atleast should go grab a round of drinks before diner. Im not sure where on the floor we'll be but my company has a booth so swing by. Also, I think we are sponsoring a night out or something, Ill post here when I know more.

i met ScottZ, Tori and Chris Martin were there. Chris, post the pictures of that fish I ordered last night. It was truly frightening. The thing had sharp teeth!!! My assessment, bearing in mind I only made it to two breakout sessions and the two keynotes.

Best Vendor Party - Absolutes party on the Midway, even though they werent aloud into the conference, NetAspx's was pretty cool too with a b-52's-esk band, although ours has full open bar, including top shelf so :P on them.

Reigning Bada$$ Presenter - Matthew Albee

Biggest Flop of a Joke - Harry Debes' Bill Clinton impression/Monica Lewinski joke

Best Free Shwag - it seemed a pretty lame year for give-always. would be the BSI bean bags but only if you can get them home or their train noise maker but it drove everyone insane. otherwise, I give it to the either the Ciber's black panther. Although our penguins were pretty popular, we ran out by lunch on the second day.

Best Give-Away - JGIs Wii. I know its bias but if i was a client that would be the one thing I would REALLY want to win. Although the booth next to us was giving away a free trip to Hawaii which, value wise, is way better.

Next year if lawson has that annoying belling-ringing-hammer-thingy (thats the official name of it), Im going to go and sabotage it. Being at my booth 8 hours a day and hearing that thing go off every minute drove me insane.

Had a great time and hoefully can get back next year.

I enjoyed the LBI-specific "Customer Successes" presentations. There were some good ideas shared. Plus, the Albee sessions were good. And the session by guy in charge of Smart Notes development...his name escapes me right now.

Of course, the weather wasn't bad either...

Holy crap!! What kind of a fish dinner is THAT??? What sort of restaurant was it? Did you eat it?

We went to a place called Ocean Aire. It was call something like Angry New Zealand Red Snapper. It was amazingly good and super spicy!
