Title: Personnel Action History Correction

marlajanej - February 20, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
Hi! Does anyone have simple notes on how to do Personnel Action History Corrections? We entered a PA Action with an incorrect hire date, should be the day prior to the day entered. PA100 has already been run. I'm having a difficult time finding exactly how to fix this. Thanks in advance for any help!

Someone else may have a better idea, but I don't think you can reverse a new hire action, because there is no prior history, and I don't believe you can change it because it is the current value on PA54.

If you haven't paid the employee yet, I'm pretty sure you can delete them on HR11 and then start over (assuming you have security that allows you to delete an employee).

Go to PA54, inquire on the original action. Go to Special Actions, enter the new effective date and history correction values in the New Effective Date section. Click Change.

This changes the effective date on the personnel action and the Start Date on PA13 but does not change the Hire, Adj Hire, Seniority and Anniversary Dates - you'll have to do those separately.

I would recommend that you test this first because a while back it wasn't working, then it was doing somethng but not the right thing. Now it is working for us.

OK...so there's not one of the "special processing" functions that allows you to fix everything at once. I guess that's where I was getting lost. Thanks for the help!

You could try reversing the action also
