I've been through the other posts on this topic and some of them were several months old so I'd like to get a fresh perspective on what others have done since then or if any previous recommendations would be revised.
Basic question is this: Would you recommend acquiring a new, separate server to go from Env 8.0.3.6 to LSF9 or would you recommend installing LSF9 on the same server and managing both environments until cutover? The constraint would be the cost of a new server (AIX) versus adding more CPU/menory to the existing box which is still a nice piece of hardware. Disk space isn't a constraint for us.
To get an idea of our size and the processing on our current server, the application upgrade to get from 8.0 to 8.1 only took about 8 hours in total, start to finish. Our app, DB, web services, etc are all on one server.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I'll add here what I've learned since my original post. After going through a couple of sizing exercises with Lawson and IBM we were able to determine our current server, even after maxing out the CPUs and required memory, would be just barely enough horsepower to run LSF9 by itself. So there wasn't any way to use that server as our current production box AND as a place to stage LSF9 server.
So we're getting the specs for a new server. Something else I learned was that if you're using ProcessFlow then IBM and Lawson want another CPU added to the sizing for any server. ??
