Title: Batch Allocation - Wh110
Description: Report Mode Only?

lpatena - February 7, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
Good Afternoon -

Does anybody know of a Lawson report - or have a custom report they'd be willing to share - which basically does a WH110 (Batch Allocation) in what would be considered "report" mode? We are looking for a way to know ahead of time which items will backorder, prior to actually doing the allocation. This will help us determine which orders we want to push through for allocation.

I thought about modifying the program (creating a clone of it) and removing all AUDIT-BEGIN/AUDIT-END and changing all occurrences of CREATE- and MODIFY- but that is a huge undertaking.

Any thoughts?

APPS 8.0.3 MSP8
ENV 8.0.3 MSP8
Oracle
unix

Thanks so much in advance,

Laura

WH226 Item On Backorder should give you what you need. It shows QOH and all the reqs that have a quantity on backorder.

Thanks - I knew about that report - but I'm actually looking to see what will INITIALLY allocate - not what is on backorder that will REallocate. I have a group that wants 100% fulfillable orders before running the allocation and subsequent shipment creation.

I ended up running the "Ready to Allocate" Report and generating a file instead of a Report.

That report is then being read into another application that will do the "math" to see what orders are completely allocatable.

Thanks,
Laura

Well I'm glad you found a solution. I guess I don't understand what your process is. We're a healthcare system and we allocate as reqs are released on a first come, first served bassis. We don't prioritize our orders unless there's something on mfg backorder. Then we might kill a shipment in order to allocate to critical areas like the OR.
